MeeGo In-Car UI

MP3Car.com spoke to Nathan Smith better known as NASA on the MP3Car forums about his in-car PC which is one of the first in the world to run MeeGo. The first build of MeeGo in-car UI was released a short while ago by the GENIVI alliance who are one of the partners in the MeeGo project. The GENIVI alliance is a non-profit industry alliance committed to driving the broad adoption of an In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) reference platform and includes companies like BMW, GM, Hyundai, Nissan, Renault etc.

MeeGo Products at IDF 2010

Renée J. James from Intel delivered the MeeGo keynote at IDF2010 and introduced some of the MeeGo collaborators from a range of different industries and also showed off some products running MeeGo. The video also shows live demoes of the Wetab MeeGo tablet and Amino Internet TV that also runs MeeGo.

MeeGo Running on TI OMAP

Here’s video  that gives us an exclusive peak the first public demo of the MeeGo Touch Framework and handset UI running on a TI OMAP 4 processor. Seeing MeeGo running on different architectures is really exciting.

MeeGo ported to Nexus One, Dell Streak, HTC Desire

Android devices are finally getting some MeeGo love to release them from the chains of the Dalvik VM. MeeGo looks really good on the hardware and we’ll be keeping a close look at how these ports develop as MeeGo speeds ahead to a final, fully functioning release.
